This trip is beautiful. Set in the lush rainforest north west of Coffs
Harbour, the canyon is very steep with abseils close together. With fire
tracks going every where we did a car shuffle so the walk in and walk out
were very minimal. The creek we followed down was the Bangalore creek in
the Bindari National Park.
The abseils are great with many of them straight through the flow and
into the plunge pools. One waterfall was a hidden slot that we almost
missed and another abseil took us under a fallen log jammed in the slot.
At the join with the Urumbilum river there was a massive log which
had fallen into the creek and been partially covered with debris. As
a result most of the creek flow went through the hollow log like a large
pipe line.
