I have recently finished reading Steven Pressfield's novel The Gates of Fire and thought that the Greeks at Thermopylae would make a great DBA force. So after checking Herodotus, I came up with an army that contained not only Spartans, but also her Pelopennesian allies, Thebans, Boeotians and Thespaeans.
Thus in DBA 2.0 terms Leonidas's force contains the following: 1x4Sp (General), 2x4Sp (Spartiates), 3x4Sp (Pelopennesian allies), 3x4Sp (Thebans and Boeotians), 3x4Sp (Thespeans) and 1x2Ps (Helots). As you can see, there are 12 Sp elements and 1 Ps element. However, if you check the list in version 2.0 I should have a 7 Hd element in lieu of the Ps element. All that I can say is that when I first started painting this army I was still relying on the old edition of DBA. Once I have the appropriate figures I will conscript a Hd element. All figures are by 1st Corps.
There is also a camp and a built up area (BUA) for this "forlorn hope".
