Surat Al-Fatihah

In the name of Allah, the Beneficient, the Merciful, Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, The Beneficient, the Merciful: Owner of the Day of Judgement, Thee (alone) we worship; Thee alone we ask for help. Show us the straight path, The path of those whom Thou hast favored; Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray

Qur'an written by Sheikh Hamdullah Al-Amasi

written in Ottoman Period dated AH 907 / CE 1501 35cm*24cm. This frontispiece is written in Tazhib (Turkish) and Tathhib (Arabic).

Early Hijazi Quranic Folio

This manuscript is from Western Arabia AH 1-2 centuries / CE 7th - 8th Centuries. 49.4cm*39cm. This manuscript is a fine example of a quran written on parchment, as to how the earliest Qur'an had been copied. It is in Hijazi Script (earliest progression of Arabic Writing of the Quran). This folio is from surah al-ma'idah starting with second verse of verse 18 and ending with 6th word of verse 29. As you can see, early kufic scripts are not clear to read. The end of every verse is marked with two small oblique colon-like punctuation followed by five small ones.
