AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH STATION, elevation 1060 metres,
is seven kilometres to the north-west of the town and is in a rural setting.
The weather station here was opened in 1910. Only one set of daily observations
is taken at
THE AIRPORT, elevation 1044 metres, is eight
kilometres north-west of the town and has an automatic weather station which
was opened in 1996.
