| EDLT 485: Attendance and Participation |

All Students
EDLT 485 has an online component (WebCT), which has proven in the past to be very successful. Details of how to access this unit online are provided in the unit handbook.
You can ask questions or seek advice publicly through the Bulletin Board or privately through the Mail facility, and as points which need clarification become clear, I will write a Question and Answer for the FAQs - the Frequently Asked Questions. In this way you can often get immediate feedback about something which is worrying you. We strongly advise you to 'log on' and get extra help for the assessment tasks.
Internal
Internal students are required to attend one lecture (1 hour) and one workshop (two hours) each week. A lecture and workshop schedule, which includes due dates for your assignments, will be given to you with this Unit Outline in your first workshop. (Your due dates are different from those set for external students.) More than two unexplained absences from classes will be deemed unacceptable and will be followed by a formal writtten requrest asking you to show cause why you should not be withdrawn from the unit and deemed to have failed.
