| EDLT 485: Student Load |
|
Internal students are required to attend one lecture (1 hour) and one workshop (2
hours) each week. It is expected
that all students will have a different balance of time spent on different activities
but that you will all read the unit materials, participate in the online component,
and apply your learning in the assessment (portfolio) tasks. Each of you is
expected to spend 150 hours in total on these activities. This figure is, however, a
nominal figure because in my experience some students take much longer than
others to complete the unit requirements. Your backgrounds are all different and to
expect one figure to apply equally to all of you is, in my opinion, unrealistic.
Nevertheless, I have used both my judgement and past student feedback on
workload to design what I hope is a feasible amount of work.
