Module 2: Quantitative Genetic Models for social interaction and GxE and inherited variability

A. Social interactions

·        Quantitative genetics of traits affected by social interaction among individuals

·        Estimating genetic parameters and breeding values for social effects from field data

·        A special case of social effects: Traits affected by maternal genetic effects

·        Breeding designs to improve traits affected by social effects

·        Evolutionary genetics of social interactions: kin and group selection theory from a quantitative genetic perspective

 

B. Genotype by environment interaction

·        Modeling genotype by environment interaction

·        Response to selection and changes in environmental sensitivity
